Shallow Bowles Joins The Yard — Already Sold Out
Our second horse is here, and this one's a little different — where Athena is a yearling with everything still ahead of her, Shallow Bowles arrives with a form book already open. A six-year-old mare with four runs already in the locker, three of them eye-catching, including when she was beaten just ten lengths by El Cairos on her penultimate start.
All four of those runs have come on heavy ground, but she's related to a smart half-brother who did his best work on a sounder surface, and she's shown herself to be a proper strong-travelling mare. She's currently rated 103 in Ireland and is expected to pick up a UK mark of around 108 — a rating that leaves plenty of room for those better-ground days we're expecting this autumn.
She's joined Nick Schofield at Felstead Court in Lambourn. Nick started training in the autumn of 2025 after a distinguished career in the saddle that included Cheltenham Festival winners, and we couldn't be more excited to be part of his yard's early days.
And here's the bit we're genuinely thrilled about: every single share in Shallow Bowles has been taken. We'd love to tell you there's still time, but there isn't — she's sold out. Thank you to everyone who backed her early, and to everyone who missed out this time, we're sorry, but it won't be the last chance.
If you'd like to be part of the next one, Athena still has shares available, and there'll be more syndicates to come. Get in touch at admin@coronationthoroughbreds.co.uk and we'll make sure you hear first.
